Jean Webb Retires

ST. LOUIS, MO (July 31, 2007) - After 30 wonderful years with the Nikken Foods family, Jean Webb has retired as manager customer service.

According to Jean, “30 years have passed very quickly. I remember bringing my 13-year old daughter to my job interview to help me find my way to the St. Louis office. The company liked that I was family oriented and hired me on the spot!”

From the advent of electric typewriters, to the computer age, Jean has been a constant cheerful voice to all Nikken Foods customers. No matter how challenging a request, Jean would always find the answer. Over the years she has enjoyed getting to know the extended Nikken Foods family of brokers and distributors. In recent years, Jean has worked with the second generation of broker/distributors’ children who are now a part the family business.

To celebrate Jean’s retirement, Nikken Foods USA, Inc. held a special surprise ice cream social at 12-noon on July 18th, 2007. Jean was presented with an official declaration of July 18th as “Jean’s Day” from Nikken Foods Japan, along with flowers and gifts from co-workers and brokers from around the world. That evening a formal retirement dinner was held in her honor.

“I’m looking forward to my new adventure – RETIREMENT! I plan to spend more time with the grandchildren, travel, sell more Tupperware (and some Home Interiors also), join the YMCA to attend water aerobics classes, and heck – I might even paint my toenails red! Thanks for 30 wonderful years, and all of the retirement cards and gifts. I’ll miss you all!”
