History

Nikken Foods was founded in 1964 by Dr. Hirotomo Ochi, a pioneer in producing natural food extracts from vegetables, seafood and fermented grain. Over the years, Nikken has continuously invested in innovative, cutting-edge technology to provide high-quality, natural ingredients for food manufacturers – and for a growing number of health-conscious consumers – around the world.

Nikken has expanded considerably over the past 50+ years and currently has sales offices, research and development, applications support and/or manufacturing facilities in Japan, China, Thailand, Taiwan, the United States and Australia.
