Red Clam Sauce

% Ingredients

  • 68.3% Crushed tomatoes
  • 23.6% Clams in broth/juice, canned
  • 4.4% Red Cooking Wine
  • 2.5% Olive Oil, extra virgin
  • 0.5% Clam Extract Powder - 1201
  • 0.5% Clam Extract Powder - 1220
  • 0.1% Roasted Onion Extract Powder - 2230
  • 0.1% Roasted Garlic Extract Powder - 2355

Heat olive oil, crushed tomatoes and red wine over medium heat for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Mix together dry ingredients and slowly add to tomato mixture while whisking (or use immersion blender, if smoother consistency is desired). Mix until all dry ingredients are dissolved.

Stir in clams in broth and simmer mixture on low heat for 5-7 minutes.
