Sweet Heat Stir-Fry Sauce

A traditional Asian sauce with a sweet-heat savory profile that compliments many different applications. This sauce was developed specifically to illustrate how Nikken ingredients can be used to achieve the same mouthwatering, umami-inducing effect without using yeast extract. By replacing yeast extract with Nikken’s Red Miso Powder 6100, we are able to achieve the same flavor intensity minus the yeast extract.

Directions

Add all ingredients to a mixing bowl and whisk to combine.

Transfer to a pot and heat over medium heat until sauce comes to a boil. Boil for 1 minute or until the sauce thickens.

Serve warm or cool and enjoy!
